Some of my earliest memories were the days I spent at home with my Lola and younger sister while my Lolo and Nanay worked.

Lola’s whole day centered around the home, providing nourishment to the body, minds, and souls of the whole family. Her day was spent preparing the best pagkain, cleaning, and teaching my sister & I how to read in English, and speak basic Tagalog.

Everything from the tableware the food was served on to the chairs we sat on encompassed the values and traditions of the Philippines, transporting us back with every bite, sight, and scent.
